Department Of Ophthalmology

The department of Ophthalmology, Fatima Memorial Hospital was established in 2000 major improvement carried out in 2004 and then in 2009 in the form of addition of state of the art ophthalmic equipment with development of new outdoor facility and specialist care ophthalmic setup.It provides patient with medical care, teaching and training to allied health sciences and medical students. The outdoor facility is available for six days a week from 8 am to 2 pm and the patients with ophthalmic diseases are given the best management and treatment at the department.

The department provides excellent diagnostic and treatment facilities to patients for almost all kinds of ocular disorders. Almost all kinds of extra-ocular and intra-ocular surgical facilities like cataract surgery (Phacoemulsification), glaucoma surgery, lid surgeries, squint surgery, ptosis correction surgery, pterygium excision and lacrimal system surgery (dacryocystorhinostomy) are available.

The department also provides excellent diagnostic services like fundoscopy, visual field testing, Hess Test and B Scan ultrasonography.
