B.Sc. (Hons.) Speech and Language pathology

 

The FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences offer the 4 years’ B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Speech & Language Pathology. The IAHS is affiliated with UHS. Students are given the insights of all the subjects related to anatomy and physiology of speech production mechanism linking with the neurology of speech and disordered communication. Science of normal and abnormal swallowing also falls in the scope of Speech and Language Pathology curriculum.

 

The communication is very important in every age and phase of life. Being Speech & Language Pathologist can help people in resolving their communication difficulties no matter from what sector and age they belong. So, the scope of Speech & Language Pathology never gets out of trend.

During the program, students will be trained through a diverse knowledge, variety of communication problems, and clinical rotations with bed side teaching.

 

 

 

Clinical attachments

Under the supervision of clinical faculty, students perform their ward rotations to attain practical knowledge and hands on practice in different departments includes ICU, NICU, Psychiatry Ward, Surgery Ward, Paediatrics Ward, ENT Ward, Neuro Ward and OPD at various hospitals including FMH, CMH and Mayo Hospital.
