Department Of Pathology

Overview

The Pathology Department of FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry is located on the first floor of the main college building. The department facilities include Lecture Theater, Tutorial room, Practical Laboratory, Demonstration area and Museum. The practical laboratory provides microscopes for student teaching, has well equipped collection of teaching slides, and opportunity for hands on staining. The museum has 450 mounted specimens of all organ systems. Departmental library is stocked with text books and reference books. Five double head and two five head microscopes are available for training and reporting. The department is recognized by CPSP for FCPS part II in Histopathology and has conducted FCPS II examination. This year the Haematology section has also been recognized by CPSP for FCPS part II training in Haematology.
