The radiology department at Fatima Memorial Hospital provides the following services:
At Fatima Memorial Hospital, we offer Computed Tomography-(CT), an imaging procedure that uses special x-ray equipment to create detailed pictures or scans of areas inside the body. CT scans can be used to view, monitor or diagnose muscle and bone disorders, such as tumors and fractures, diseases such as cancer or heart diseases, infections or blood clots and other internal injuries.
With a dedicated team of professional staff and ten state of the art machines, Fatima Memorial Hospital offers multiple x-ray facilities that ensure seamless diagnostic system. The x-ray images generated by our machines are one of the most clearest and detailed pictures of the bones.

Portable X-ray machine is also available for immobile admitted patients.
Fatima Memorial has an up to date breast screening facility known as mammography. In today’s world, Breast cancer among women is on the rise. It is being studied that with early diagnosis this can be cured up to 20 % more. Mammography is a key element in the early diagnosis of breast cancer.
Fatima Memorial Hospital offers Fluoroscopy service which is a digital imaging technique that takes real time (live) moving images of patients’ internal structures using X-rays (radiation). The fluoroscope is a flat table with a camera that pulls over the patient and creates a tunnel. The radiologist or technologist moves the camera up and down to best see the area being examined.
Patients will be used, to best show the area being studied. The image shows on a screen. The room given X-ray contrast or air will be dim to allow the images to be seen with more detail. During the test, the patient may hear some noises from the machine.
The Ultasonography service at Fatima Memorial Hospital is equipped with seven ultrasound and one US Doppler room. The ultrasound image is produced by sending sound waves of 1-10 million Hertz through a transducer by placing it over the structures of the body. The sound waves either get absorbed or get bounced back to crystals in the head of the transducer. For example, sound waves go through areas that are hollow or fluid-filled, such as the bladder and blood vessels. These areas appear black on the screen. Areas filled with tissue allow some penetration and refraction of sound and produce a grayish-white image. Hard structures, such as bone, produce a bright white image as the sound waves completely bounce back to the transducer.
In pregnancy, this allows providers to have an image of the woman’s womb. The amniotic fluid will appear black, which enhances the bones and tissues of the baby, which will appear white. The doctor can assess how well the baby is developing, it can determine the gender of the baby and detect any abnormalities
Along with the facility of ultrasonography for obs and gyne Patients, we also have services for Emergency patients who are provided with the services as soon as possible and the report is issued within 4 hours.
FMH Interventional Radiology is described as surgery of the new millennium. It is minimally invasive and it involves procedures which are done in a hospital setting and typically consists of placing catheters in a patient or performing other therapeutic maneuvers on a patient. Advanced imaging technology provides high resolution pictures, so interventional radiologists (board-certified physicians who specialize in minimally invasive, targeted treatments) can navigate tiny instruments such as catheters (small tubes) through blood vessels to reach certain parts of the body.
This procedure can treat various conditions non-surgically, including various cancers and liver disease. Interventional radiology procedures reduce side effects typically associated with traditional cancer treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. However, side effects, such as fatigue and pain, may occur. Integrative oncology services can help you manage any side effects that you experience during treatment.
